in Las Vegas, Nevada

1st - Forms
1st - Weapons

Congratulations Lindsay! You are a great example of what hard work and dedication can do. Lindsay has been studying the Martial Arts for almost 4 years now and we are proud to have here as one of our students!

Lindsay always has such positive outlook! She's a great example to her fellow karate friends - we know so many of the students at the studio look up to her! She is never afraid to get in and try something new. And the most beautiful thing about Lindsay is that she's such a sweetheart! We always hear the greatest things from her fellow students and school teachers.
She is focused and with regular attendance, very suppportive, loving parents, private lessons and a winning attitude - the sky's the limit!

Way to go Lindsay!!

SUPER GRANDS

Congratulations Justus
on your
7th World Title!!

The day after Christmas Head Instructor Justus Lawrence took off for the 20th Annual Super Grands International Karate Tournament in Sacramento, California.

Justus was thrilled to compete and watch the top Forms, Weapons and Sparring competitors from the 2010 NBL and NASKA karate tournament leagues!

(this is his final fight)

After numerous fights, Justus went into the Middle Weight Sparring finals undefeated and fought his toughest competitor of the season Josh May on the big stage. It was a tough fight which made winning all the better!

Super Grands is a tournament held once a year in different parts of the US. It is the crowning event of the NBL and NASKA Karate Tournaments and is an invitation only event. Competitors come from Europe, Mexico, Canada and America and are the top winners from various Regional and National Tournaments.
He was the oldest competitor to win a title in the 18 - 34 division this year. Justus earned his first title when he was 20 years old and has won his other Sparring titles on and off through the years (family life and a pretty cool Karate studio has made attendance sporadic).
If you would like to see some of his fights or pictures of his prizes, visit our Facebook page (Team Justus – Bobby Lawrence Karate LINDON).
Thank you to all the students who helped him train and were anxiously cheering him on! Justus's first love has and always will be teaching, so knowing he's got some awesome students back home, makes it that much sweeter!
Congratulations Justus!
